Basaveshwar College of Arts & Science College was established in 1967 for imparting the value based education to the rural area students by the blessing of Fonder President of Lingaikya Poojya Doddappa Appa, the 7th Peethadipati Sharanabasaveshwar Samshthan, Kalaburgi.After 2018 B.Com.,M.Sc. (Maths), M.A. (History) & M.Com. courses are started on the basis of student’s needs.

The institution permanently affiliated to Gulbarga University, Kalaburagi, and it was reaccredited by NAAC with “B” grade during the year 2015. The institution acquires 2(f) and 12(B) status of UGC.

The college has been serving as a temple of learning for over all development of rural & backward students in this Kalyan- Karnataka region. The institution has been rendering remarkable service and setting increasingly higher academic bench marks over more than five decades.
