Department of Electronics:

In this backward area of Hyderabad Karnataka, in the year 1967 S.S.K.Basaveshwar college of Arts and Science was started. In the year 1987 by the vision and foresight of The President of our Institution Poojya Dr. SharanabasappaAppaji, the department of Electronics was established.

In the early 1987, Prof. M.S.Uppin was the department in-charge and in the year 1988, Prof. A.D.Patil joined and serving in the department as H.O.D. Prof. S. N. Mulgi, Prof. VijaykumarPatil, Prof. B. G. Patne, Prof. RekhaAnegireProf. VijaykumarPatil, and Miss LathaMulle were also worked in the department and at present they are working in different places.

AIMS OF THE DEPARTMENT:

1) To provide quality higher education to the students to enable them face the challenges of the world with courage, confidence and mould them as socially responsible citizen.
2) Impart knowledge and create intellectual power.
3) Equip the students with the desired skills to lead an established life with foresight and insight.
4) Develop courage, confidence and competitiveness in the changing global scenario..

OBJECTIVE OF THE DEPARTMENT:

We aim to continue the legacy of the department by adopting new techniques to teach electronic devices to the students. Students will be motivated to inculcate the positive thinking and put the hard work so as to bring out the best of each student by overcoming the inferiority complex. To internalize and imbibe the various values among the student’s viz., honesty, punctuality, discipline, tolerance, morality and good behavior, through proper guidance and dialogue method is followed in the classroom.

STRENGTH OF THE DEPARTMENT:

1) We give projects, seminars, training courses such as mobile repairing, regarding optical fiber communication etc.
2) Industrial visit and educational tour.
3) Some training programs were conducted for the sake of employment.
4) Science exhibition organized to expose the talent of the students.

Department of Electronics studentperformed good in the final examinations conducted by the Gulbarga University, Gulbarga and obtained good percentage. Some students are continuing their higher studies in various universities.
