Department of PhysicsThe Department of UG-Physics was established in the year 1968. The Department has two spacious laboratories for mechanics and electronics experiments along with one dark rooms for optics experiments. Both laboratories are well furnished and well equipped with scientific instruments. The Department has experienced and dedicated faculty members. One faculty members have Ph.D’s. The Department has implemented CBCS (Choice based credit system) scheme as per UGC regulations. Our department has one computers&one laptop with internet connection. Programme: B.Sc. in Physics PCM & PME:Programme Objective:• To give need based education in physics of the highest quality at the undergraduate level. • Perform experiments and interpret the results of observation, including making an assessment of experimental uncertainties. • To develop skills and enthusiasms of students to the best of their potential. • Use Information Communication Technology (ICT enabled) to gather knowledge at will .Attract outstanding students from all backgrounds.Programme Outcomes:Students of Physical Science are expect to• Inculcate scientific thinking and awareness. • Understand the basic concepts, fundamental principles, and the scientific theories related to various scientific phenomena of Physics. • Acquire the skills in handling scientific instruments in the laboratory, and performing experiments in a proper manner. • Explain the basic scientific principles and methods. • Analyse the applications of mathematics to the problems in physics.
