Department of Mathematics:

Introduction:

Department of Mathematics was started in the year 1968.In the beginning Mathematics was taught to P.U.C classes By knowing the importance of Mathematics for higher studies and the sincere effort of Prof. R. S. BIRADAR Mathematics was introduced to B.sc degree as an optional subject in the year 1978.

VISION:

To assist students in acquiring a conceptual understanding of the nature and structure of Mathematics, its processes and applications.

MISSION:

To provide quality Mathematical course work this supports and enhances all programmes at the College.

Objective of the Department:

The department of Mathematics was worked for the development of the career of the students, along with the regular classes the staff members are engaged extra classes.The home assignments and the class seminars by the students are the regular practice of the department to make the students perfect in the subject.The students who are taken admission to B.Sc. degree courses are providing good number of books through library to work the students continuously.The collective effort of the staff members of the mathematics department the number of the students have secured different ranks to Gulbarga University Gulbarga for B.Sc. courses and the number of students who are passed in distinction and first class .
The department is having three spacious laboratories viz. Staff Room, Computer Lab1&Computer Lab2

All the Laboratories are well equipped with Desktops&Laptops. At present the department is having modern equipments with teaching aids and LCD projector.

We engage the classes using LCD projector along with black board teaching. The students will be engaged in class seminars and home assignments. We conduct two internal assignment (I.A.) tests as per the university regulation.

3. Our students actively participating in Co-curricular and Extra-curricular activities.
4. We celebrate Science Day.
5. Students have displayed the exhibits in college exhibition.
