In this context, S. S. K. Basaveshwar Arts & Science College was established in 1967 for imparting the value based education to the rural students by the blessing of Founder President Lingaikya Poojya Doddappa Appa, the 7th PeethadipatiSharanabasaveshwar Samshthan, Kalaburgi,The institution permanently affiliated to Bidar University, Bidar, and it was reaccredited by NAAC with CGPA of 2.58 at “B+” grade during the year 2022. The institution acquires 2(f) and 12(B) status of UGC New Delhi. In 2018 B.Com.,M.Sc. (Maths), M.A. (History & English) & M.Com. courses & in 2022-23 BCA course started on the basis of student needs.

The institution has been serving with a great vision and mission for over all development of this Kalyan- Karnataka region. The institution has been rendering remarkable service and setting higher academic bench marks over these five decades.

Our college runs on Dasoha philosophy of LingaikyaPoojya Dr.Sharnbaswappa Appa, i.e. Teaching and learning not only for the sake of livelihood, but also for the welfare of humanity, thinking that serving humanity is serving God, is “KayakaDasoha philosophy of Education”.
